Zoe is a producer for The Fridge Light, a CBC food podcast. She was the founding Associate Editor of the Canadian edition of the scholarly journalism site, The Conversation.

Most of her work relates to food, and its various intersections. 

Her multimedia journalism work has been published and broadcast by The Walrus, the Globe and MailMonocle, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, among others. Her work on ice cream truck culture in Glasgow was shortlisted for a new talent award by the Scottish Documentary Institute. Recently, she was a writer-in-residence at the Banff Centre for the Arts and Creativity.   

She holds a master's degree in journalism and is an alumna of the only Indigenous Reporting program in the country, taught by award-winning Anishinaabe journalist Duncan McCue
